  ②Enable to do the actions according to the commands.

  6. Teaching aids: Cards of body parts, a tape recorder, pictures.

  Step 1.Warm up

  1. Greetings.

  T: Good afternoon.

  Ss: Good afternoon.

  T: Nice to meet you.

  Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

  2. Sing the song Teddy Bear.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch your nose.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch your head.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground.

  T: Great. Now, let’s sing the song Teddy Bear.

  (Sing and do the actions.)

  T: OK. Today we will learn some new words to describe our body parts. Board writing: Unit 2 Look at Me

  Step 2: Presentation

  1. Teach hand.

  ①T: Look. What’s this? (Show one hand.)

  T: Listen: hand.

  T: Follow me: hand, hand.

  (Write “hand” on the blackboard.)

  Then show two hands and say: hands.

  T: Hand, hand, hands. (Do the actions)

  T: OK, show me your hands. Do it like me.

  T: Hand, hand, clap your hands.

  Ss: Hand, hand, clap your hands.

  ②T: I say and you do the actions, then let’s exchange. (Speed is faster the faster.)

  ③Have students practice in pairs. One says the command, and the other does the action.

  2. Teach finger, arm, leg and body in the same way.

  3.Teach “foot” using a guessing game.

  ①T: Now, let’s play a guessing game: Close your eyes and listen. Guess what I am doing. Just do it. Who is the winner, gets a sticker.

  ②Have students practice in pairs.

  Step 3 Practice

  1. T and students sing the song: Teddy Bear.

  T: Let’s sing the song Teddy Bear, just like me:

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, snap your fingers.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, wave your arms.

  Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, stamp your foot.

  2. Play the tape of let’s do. Repeat and do the actions.

  3. Review the six words using the toy monkey.

  4. Sing the chant: Hand and finger, arm and foot, leg and body.
